“We’ve come a long way. Power dressing now is designed to let the woman inside us come through.” – Donna Karan
Power dressing for women is about asserting themselves and projecting their inner proficiency. It’s imperative to power dress to create those first and last impressions of poise and assurance. And it doesn’t have to be difficult if you follow certain pointers.
- For starters, keep it simple, stylish and sleek.
- Nothing looks more tacky than a dull white shirt. So make sure you have a crisp, white, well-fitted shirt in your wardrobe.
- Have the hems of your trousers adjusted to work with the shoes that you’re mostly likely to wear with.
- A good looking bag that goes with your formal attire is always a plus!
- In terms of makeup, Less is always more! Keep it to the minimum.
In this post, I’ve gone for a classic formal look. I believe there is a lot of power in a solid white shirt and this one from H&M is a winner all the way. I love the sharpness and the quality of the shirt. It is not at all flimsy and shapes the body beautifully. I’ve teamed the shirt with grey tailored pants from Tom Tailor. They fit like a dream and they are perfectly tapered at the bottom. I accessorized the look with a nude colored hand bag from Kenneth Cole which is an ideal bag for work! I added a pair of black pumps to the outfit and kept my makeup very minimal. To give a nerdy yet chic appearance to the ensemble, I wore a pair of anti-glare glasses from Lenskart
Always remember; power dressing is all about the right attitude, as well as the right clothes. Be confident, stand tall and smile.
Hope you like this look. Let your suggestions flow!
Until next post ❤
