Hello November! And with that lets welcome back the wedding season. Oh how I adore Indian weddings! There is so much of culture and grandeur  in our weddings.  Right from the decor, to the food and probably one of the most important factors being the beautiful Indian, traditional attire! Each one of us wants to look our best on these extravagant occasions and that is the beauty of Indian weddings. From diverse textures, to rich embroidery to magnificent colors, the opulence is alluring.

Speaking about textures, Velvet has captured the eye of the fashion giants. I feel styling a velvet ensemble can be quite tricky depending on the quality of the velvet and how it’s used. However, if its done right, velvet adds oodles of affluence to the garment.

In this post, I’ve adorned an absolute stunner of a lehenga by the clothing rental platform 101Hues. I fell in love with the peacock hues of the lehenga with a bright pink dupatta. Such bold, contrasting colors and yet together they look splendid. The blouse is velvet with intricate embroidery on the neck. You will find the velvet patch even at the bottom of the lehenga as well. I love the subtlety of the outfit without the velvet being too overwhelming.  And the icing on the cake you ask?? You can get your hands on this outfit  by renting it in a fraction of its original price! If this isn’t a win-win situation, what is!?

Along with styling the lehenga with earrings and bangles, I went with a nathni which l feel makes quite a statement.

Hope you enjoy the post and the pictures below. Waiting to hear your feedback!

Until next post, lots of love!
